CCTV and Noise Monitors at Timberley House
You should find that our very helpful Facts A-Z gives you all the information you need for your large group holiday at Timberley House. One thing we like to make guests fully aware of is that there is CCTV with inbuilt noise monitors covering the entrance to the house and some of the outdoor areas. This is standard with this type of holiday house, especially when the property is in such a remote location.
The CCTV isn’t only to deter intruders though – it’s also there for guests’ safety. We don’t monitor the CCTV and all recordings are permanently deleted after a maximum of 30 days. What’s important is that we comply with all the latest data protection and privacy laws, and should recorded images ever need to be viewed, it would be strictly for lawful purposes only.
The CCTV has noise monitors built into the system but they only measure sound levels – they don’t record conversations or specific sounds. They are there simply because although Timberley House stands in its own large grounds and has no immediate neighbours, it is situated on a working farm and there are other properties on the same site.
If the noise monitors detect continuous noise at excessive levels for 15 or more minutes, the property manager or owner might contact you to let you know this. If the noise continues, reasonable further action might be taken and in the most extreme case, you would be asked to vacate the property. Fortunately, it is very rare for there to be noise issues at Timberley House because guests come here to quietly enjoy spending time with friends and family in peaceful surroundings.
There is a clause in our Terms & Conditions covering CCTV and noise monitors, which all guests agree to at the time of booking, but this is all standard and it’s best to forget it’s there and enjoy every minute of your stay,
